- "You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock." Isaiah 26:3,4 He has been our rock more than ever before since July 2,2008. This is the day we found our four year old daughter, Alaina ("Lew") who died unexpectedly during the night. She was sick the day before with what we thought to be a stomach virus. We still don't have all the "medical answers" but we believe fully that her days were ordained before the foundation of the world. So this is our story Along the Road....trusting in a God who is good and uses everything in our lives for His glory no matter how hard and painful it may be. Really, this is HIS story... He is the author and perfecter and we are just characters in the story. I pray all the details will point you to Him. My email: hopeatchison@msn.com

Just got caught up, Hope. So glad to hear your beach trip was so much fun... The pictures are great! I'm telling you -- every time I see Elley's adorable face, I see what I think Laura Beth will look like in a year or so. They look so much alike to me! We have been thinking of you a whole lot the last few weeks... more and more as the 2nd approaches. Know that we're lifting you up and that our hearts still break at the thought of that day. We love all of you so much. We're praying!
Hope I have had you on my mind today and just want you to know that you are in my prayers - especially as this week approaches. I know that the ministry that God has given you this last year was not one you would have ever chosen but God has become so much more real and beautiful to so many people as a result of your journey along this road. Praise God for His work in your family - we are praying for you!!!!
I have you on my mind this week. You are never far from my thoughts but especially been praying harder for you in the most recent days. I was saying bedtime prayers with Lilly a few nights ago and we prayed for you. I said, "God bless, Ms. Hope and Mr. Billy this week." She has not stopped asking about Mr. Billy since our prayers. She doesn't know him but the name sure stuck with her! :) God bless you, Billy and the kids. Much love.
